High-level round table – Financing a just industrial decarbonization – sharing risks and rewards

FfD Forum side event organized by the Leadership Group for Industry Transition that will gather high-level representatives from Multilateral Organisations, UN Member States, and the private sector to discuss the scale of action required for financing industry transition in emerging and developing economies.

The roundtable dialogue will inspire the search for instruments, frameworks, and partnerships to direct investments toward industry transition in the global south, tackling challenges such as how to develop the multilateral offer, create enabling conditions for investment, share risks, and mobilize capital.

Decarbonization of industry calls for difficult decisions and new partnerships. International finance institutions, in partnership with the UN and other multilateral development organisations, governments, and philanthropies, can play a key role in enabling the industry transition to set ambitions, pathways, policy frameworks, and standards to better share risks and rewards.
